Alameda County English Learner/Multilingual Forum (EL Forum)
A forum designed for all ELD/Bilingual districts' coordinators to receive the latest CDE mandates and program developments, communications and interpretations of the ELD/bilingual news and state directives.
 
Bilingual Teacher Training Program (BTTP)
The Bilingual Teacher Training Program (BTTP) assists kindergarten through grade twelve teachers who already possess a basic credential and want to attain the authorization required by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) to provide English Language Development (ELD), Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English (SDAIE), and / or primary language instructional services to English learners.
 
California English Language Development Test (CELDT)
All newly enrolled students whose primary language is not English must take the CELDT within 30 calendar days after they are enrolled in a California public school for the first time. The CELDT also must be given once each year to English learners until they are reclassified. ACOE offers training for staff who will administer and/or train other staff to administer and score the CELDT.
 
CLAD/BCLAD Certification
The Bilingual Teacher Training Program (BTTP) assists kindergarten through grade twelve teachers, who already possess a basic credential, to attain authorizations required by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) to provide English Language Development (ELD), specially designed academic instruction in English (SDAIE), and primary language instructional services to English learners (ELs).
 
Community-Based Education Tutoring Network (CBET)
A network opportunity for CBET District Coordinators to present and learn about their programs, discuss needs, and problem solve solutions. A great opportunity for professional support.
 
Dual Immersion / Two Way Immersion
Alameda County’s Dual Immersion Network brings together educators, parents, researchers and the community and also includes all of our Bay Area regional affiliates. Together, these communities support dual language enrichment education and the goals for multilingualism/multiculturalism.
 
English Learner Conference
The Alameda County Office of Education Language and Literacy Conference is an annual event aimed at the improvement of language proficiency and the academic achievement of language learners. This annual event brings to our county panels of distinguished and highly esteemed researchers and language development experts.
 
LEAD Academy
Leadership in Equity, Accountability and Diversity Academy (LEAD) is a program that serves county educators through professional development offerings. The principle goal of the program is to address the professional development needs of administrators and teachers so that they can deliver high quality programs and services for a diverse linguistic and cultural student community.
